The Bremen Conservation Club will be hosting its Annual Ice Fishing Derby Feb. 3 at Lake of the Woods.

If ice isn’t safe the event will move to Feb. 10.

Registration begins at 5 a.m. at the Community Building; fishing will be from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entry fee is $10. The Club will share proceeds with the Bremen Boys and Girls Club.

Cash prizes of $200 for first to $25 for fifth place will be awarded for contestants who catch the “longest” total length of legal fish. Only fish over six inches will be measured.

Youth prizes will range from an ice fishing shelter to a $50 gift card. A $25 bonus will be given for the single longest fish measured.

A pancake and sausage, biscuit and gravy all-you-can-eat breakfast will be available for $5 from 5 – 9:30 a.m.

Lunch will also be available and will be served to fishermen on the lake (again ice conditions permitting) and to the non-fishing public at the Community Building.
