Winners Rob Swem and Kim Siewert
Rob Swem and Kimm Siewert (Niles) had a limit totaling 8.29 pounds to win the Casting Couples tournament on Klinger Lake last weekend.
The nice day drew 25 teams of couples and saw seven limits weighed in and only 1.3 pounds separating first through sixth place.
The winners ($320) used tubes in 8 to 10 feet of water and also took home big bass honors with a 2.69-pound smallmouth for a bonus $120.
2nd Sue and Mark Michael
3rd Renee and Brian Hensley
Second place ($190) went to Mark and Sue Michaels (Union City, Mich.) with 8.26 pounds. They also fished tubes in 8 to 10 feet. Brian and Renee Hensley (Edwardsburg) were third ($140) with 8.19 pounds. They fished grubs and tubes in the 6- and 8-foot depths.
4th Steve and Amy Martin
Steve and Amy Martin (Constantine, Mich.) came in with 7.78 pounds for fourth ($90) and had the second biggest bass, a 2.68-pound smallmouth that earned them a tackle pack from Money Mouth Baits.
Casting Couplespaid down six spots to include tackle pack prizes from D's lures, Money Mouth, and Native Pride. Other prizes that were handed outcame from BassProShops, Scentsy, Beef'O'Brady's, 31 Bags, and Michiana Outdoors News.
