Roger Gross and Max Sommers (Nappanee) won the U.S. Anglers' Choice Pro Tournament on Lake Wawasee last weekend with 14.26 pounds.

The winners won $1,185, plus a bonus $240 for the big bass pot. Their big fish weighed 5 pounds. They caught their limit using Stanley jigs and worms on the outside edges of deep weeds.

Phillip Duracz (Chesterton) and Clint Marler (Valparaiso) had five fish weighing 13.70 pounds for second ($685). Their fish came on jigs and drop shots around deep weeds in 20 to 30 feet.

Marc Evans (Angola) and Nick Klopfenstein (Woodburn, Ind.) had 13.51 pounds for third place ($400). All of their fish were caught on tubes in deep water.

There were 103 fish weighed in for a total weight of 191.97 pounds, an average weight of 1.86 pounds.
