Scott and LeeAnn Sizemore (Albion, Ind.) 1st Place
Although the Casting Couples Open at Lake St. Clair wasn't limited to male/female teammates, Scott and LeeAnn Sizemore (Albion, Ind.) weighed in 17.77 pounds to beat out 10 other teams under windy conditions.
The wind howled at 15 to 25 out of the south/southwest yet nine limits were caught and every team weighed in a bass over 3 pounds.
The Sizemores won $300 for their five keeper smallmouth and also won the second big bass pot with a 4.22-pound smallmouth that earned them a bonus $55. They used 3.8-inch swimbaits on 3/8-ounce jigheads to catch their limit.

Clyde and Justin Brazie won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club (SMAC) tournament on Diamond Lake Sunday with 15.55 pounds.
The tournament drew 25 teams.
The winners would have had more weight than that had they not been penalized 12 ounces for having three dead fish.

Terry Smith and Scott Crocker beat 20 other teams to win the SMAC tournament on Magician Lake recently.
The winners had five fish, four of which were smallmouth, weighing 11.13 pounds. They said they caught them on jigs.
Trevor Paulus and Matt Gordon were second with a limit weighing 9.85 pounds and included big bass of the tournament, a 3.40 pounder. They used crankbaits and drop shot rigs.

Dan and Sara Posey (Niles) First Place
Dan and Sara Posey (Niles) had five keeper largemouth bass totaling 12.12 pounds to win the Casting Couples tournament on Diamond Lake.
The tournament drew 24 teams with seven limits weighed in.
Posey used drop-shots and Hula Grubs to earn $310. They also won second Big Bass honors with 3.78 pounder to take home a Native Pride Tackle pack.
Clyde Brazie Jr. (Hartford, Mich.) and Justin Brazie (Waterviliet, Mich.) won the Southwest Michigan Big Bass Challenge on Paw Paw Lake recently.
The winners ($290) had 15.52 pounds caught on jigs in less than 5 feet of water.
Derrick Allred (St. Joseph, Mich.) and Kyle Lemer (Coloma, Mich.) were second ($190) with 15.19 pounds. They also had the big bass ($110) with a 4.03 largemouth. They caught the fish in 5 feet or less and declined to disclose their lures.
Tom Noe (Benton Harbor) and John Gipson (Battle Ground) were third ($130) with 14.25 pounds caught in shallow water on jigs.
The next tournament is June 23 at Diamond Lake from 7-2.
