Mike Vanderyden and Brett Gessinger won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club (SMAC) weeknight event on Juno with a limit weighing 9.87 pounds.
The winners caught their fish on jigs.
Bo Thomas and Jackson Disher were second with 9.20 pounds caught on 1/-2 ounce white War Eagle spinnerbaits fished over the top of weed edges while Scott Crocker and Terry Smith were third with an 8.53-pound limit caught on jigs and wacky worms.

John and Zoe Dixon (Elkhart)
The father/daughter combo of John and Zoe Dixon (Elkhart) caught four keepers to win the Casting Couples tournament on Fishers Lake near Three Rivers, Mich. last weekend.
The event drew 20 teams.
Casting Couples will conduct an Open Bass Tournament June 16 at Lake St. Clair.
Although Casting Couples regular season events are for man/woman teams, the Open is available to all-male teams.
The tournament is a fund-raiser with an $80 entry fee. Hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and they will use the Clinton River cutoff ramp.
The tournament is the day before the R&B Circuit there and tournament director Rick Kedik said R&B competitors who are there to practice are welcome to fish. Call or text Kedik at 269-240-4917.

Jeff Stankovich and Mark Van won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club tournament on Paw Paw Lake last weekend with 16.65 pounds caught on Senkos.
Second place went to Scott Crocker and Dan Linn with 14.27 pounds caught on Senkos and jigs while Brandon and Matt Gunn had 13.85 pounds, including big bass that weighed 4.44 pounds (Their pattern and lures wasn’t provided).
Nick Mills and Andrew Smith were fourth with 11.90 pounds.
The next event is a weeknight at Juno from 6-9 p.m. All trailers must be parked at Clear H2o and drivers will be shuttled to the ramp.

Southwest Michigan and northern Indiana are no strangers to the popularity of bass tournaments.
As reported here last week, both state DNRs require tournament directors report their events through a registration program.
