I never could get the hang of how to use a baitcaster, one man said. How do you make it look so easy?
Its a comment I get at sport shows and public appearances. People say they cant use baitcast gear and prefer spincast and spinning reels that are easier to use.
But baitcast gear gives you a mechanical advantage over other types of reels and the utmost control in making precision presentations.
You just have to give it a chance. With a proper setup and a little practice, modern baitcast technology delivers fewer backlashes than the reels we had four or five years ago.
Make your reels feel new again.Has this ever happened to you?
Its mid-summer, youre on the lake, the fish are bitin and your favorite reel begins to act up.
Make your reels feel new again.
Maybe it growls, develops a strange vibration with every turn of the handle, or the spool wont engage.
Something like that happens to me every year. Not that I dont have good reels; I just dont take very good care of them.
Thats why I dropped some off at Moe Ranieris place the other day. In addition to working part-time in the reel department at Lunkers, he has a tackle repair service in his Edwardsburg, Mich. home.

It was supposed to be a secret until next year, but company lure designer Phil Marks won the recent Sam Rayburn FLW Tour event on it and had to let the cat out of the bag.
Big bass are known to eat big baits and bass anglers target big bass. The all-new 10XD deep diving crankbait will appeal to both. Its 6 inches long and will easily hit the 25-foot mark on 14-pound fluorocarbon line, allowing you to get a crankbait in front of fish that you previously could not reach. It also casts and pulls surprisingly easy for its behemoth size.
