Indiana Conservation Officers responded to a call for help on the White River on Saturday and rescued five hunters after their boat froze into the White River near Haysville.

The fish measured 59 inches long and had a girth of 29 inches. Seeberger was fishing for smallmouth bass with a 7¼-inch sucker minnow at the time when he caught the fish at 10:30 a.m.
Waterfowl Season Opens in IndianaIndianas waterfowl season opens Saturday (Oct. 20) in the North Zone and runs through Dec. 9 for ducks and Nov. 11 for Canada geese. Goose hunters may take three a day, while duck hunters can take six, but may not include more than 4 mallards (2 females max), 3 wood ducks, 2 pintails, 1 black, 2 redheads, 1 canvasback or 4 scaup.
