Casting Couples Report
John and Heather Miller - 1st Place
John and Heather Miller beat out 16 other teams in the Casting Couples Tournament held on a beautiful day at Klinger Lake Saturday.
The Millers had five keeper bass totaling 10.52 pounds to win $330. That also had the second biggest bass of the day with a 2.59 pounder to go home with Butchers Baits tackle packs. The couple used tubes and drop shots in 12 feet.
Loren and Carrie Crosbie - 2nd Place
Loren and Carrie Crosbie had five keeper bass totaling 9.60 pounds, to earn $200. The Crosbies used tubes in 20 feet of water.
Ryan and Alyssa Yoder - 3rd Place
Ryan and Alyssa Yoder were third ($110) with 9.11 pounds. The Yoders used jigs in 12-20 feet.
Austin and Cierra Smith - 4th Place and Big Bass
Austin and Cierra Smith had the hat trick trifecta with fourth place ($80), big bass of the day ($80), and they won the 50/50drawing worth $50. The Smith's had 8.91 pounds and their big bass was 3.93 pounds. They used topwaters and drop-shot rigs.Â

Arjay’s Report
Hunter and Justin Kosmerick - 1st Place
The Kosmericks continued their domination in the Arjay’s Wednesday night bass series by winning at Diamond Lake last week.
Hunter and Justin Kosmerick had five bass weighing 10.08 pounds that they caught on jigs.
Tanner Hursh and Hailey Dodd - 2nd Place
Tanner Hursh and Hailey Dodd were second with a limit weighing 9.30 pounds. They used wacky rigs.
Doug Sanderson and Curt Barnhart finished third with four bass that topped the scales at 8.68 pounds caught on tubes and wacky rigs.
Chris Yoder and Edward Bontrager - 4th Place
Drop-shot rigs caught Chris Yoder and Edward Bontrager a limit weighing 8.64 pounds and got them fourth place.
Noah Chambers and Jacob Meeker
Noah Chambers and Jacob Meeker fished jigs and drop-shots to finish fifth with 8.30 pounds.
Tim and Daisy Tucker - 6th Place
The ClearH2O Tackle first out of the money spot in sixth place was won by Tim and Daisy Tucker with an 8.28-pound limit. They fished jigs.
Maynard and Marvin Bontrager - 7th Place
Maynard and Marvin Bontrager won the Michiana Outdoors News Tackle Pack with five fish for 7.94 pounds. They finished seventh by fishing jigs.
The Jaywalker Restaurant junk fish pot went to Nate Ryan Yoder and Andrew Miller with an 8.88-pound pike.
Charlie Fouts and Ray Lohr won the Tackle Shack Big Bass prize with a 2.54-pound largemouth.
Wednesday’s event at Portage Lake will start be at 5:30 and end at 8:30.
D&R Series Report
Garrett and Nolan Mandel - 1st Place
Garrett and Nolan Mandel repeated as Lake St. Clair Champions in the West Michigan D&R Series tournament last weekend.
The winners, who won the D&R event held on the lake in June, had 23.66 pounds anchored by a 5.23 pounder.
Jake and Justin Emig - 2nd Place
Big Bass
Jake and Justin Emig were second with 22.77 pounds that included a bass that weighed 6.02 pounds, the largest of the tournament.
Clint Joyner and Shawn Vernatter were third with 22.36 pounds.
Bo Thomas and Kurt Antonowitsch - 4th Place
Bo Thomas and Kurt Antonowitsch finished fourth with 22.09 pounds anchored by a 4.75.
Fifth place went to Logan Paul and Derek Rodriguez who had 21.49 pounds and included a 5.11 pounder.
SMAC Report
Hayley Dodd and Tanner Hursh - 1st Place
Hayley Dodd and Tanner Hursh won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club (SMAC) Tuesday night tourney at Magician Lake.
Hayley and Tanner had a 10.39-pound limit and also the biggest bass of the tourney, a 3.24 pounder that Haley caught on a drop-shot rig. They fished swimbaits and drop-shots in 4 to 10 feet.
Drake and Hunter Heath - 2nd Place
Drake and Hunter Heath were second with five bass at 10.24 pounds caught on tubes and topwaters in 4 to 6 feet.
Joe Sears and Eben Lambert - 3rd Place
Joe Sears and Eben Lambert had five for 9.93 pounds and finished third. They fished crankbaits and Ned rigs in 5 to 10 feet.

There were 26 boats participating in Arjay’s Wednesday nighter on Klinger and the fish were biting – but not the big ones.
Less than a pound separated the top six finishers.
Aaron and Cody Zimmerman - 1st Place
Aaron and Cody Zimmerman sneaked out the victory with five bass weighing 9.22 pounds . They fished drop-shot rigs.
Nate Ryan Yoder and Andrew Miller - 2nd Place
Nate Ryan Yoder and Andrew Miller weren’t far behind, with five for 9.08 pounds caught by using forward facing sonar on deep weedlines.
John Miller and Robbie Gibson - 3rd Place
John Miller and Robbie Gibson finished a hair shy of second place with their 9.04-pound limit caught by skipping docks.
