Rapala Report

The new ClapTail™ 110 is a first-of-its-kind topwater bait plucked straight from the mind of tournament champion Jacob Wheeler.
“I’ve never been so excited to release a bait,” said Wheeler. “This bait has such a unique action, unique sound, and it catches bigguns.”
The ClapTail™ 110 is a topwater bait with a metal prop and back blade that collide when retrieved, producing a unique two-tone fish-attracting sound. The durable body and balanced weight ensure long casts and a steady retrieve, while the built-in belly swivel reduces leverage to keep fish pinned.
The ClapTail features a stainless steel prop with a unique back blade to create the most irresistible clapping sound for bass. How often is it that anglers get a round of applause while their bait’s still in the water?
“We went through several blades to get the best sound that we possibly could with that metal-to-metal contact,” said Wheeler. “That colliding is what makes this one of the most unique topwater sounds to come on the market for years.”
Perfecting the sound is just the beginning of what makes this lure so special. The ClapTail also features a rotating hook hanger, so fish have absolutely zero leverage to unhook.
. The little fin at the bottom of the lure ensures that the lure remains stable after it's cast, so anglers can hit pockets with more accuracy and secure a better hookup ratio.
At ⅞ ounce, and equipped with two No. 3 VMC Hybrid Trebles, this is a heavier bait. It was intentionally made that way so that it sits tail down in the water. When it's pulled, the weight creates extra resistance so the blades turn faster and the clapping sound rings at an even quicker pace.
This lure comes in eight colors: Broken Bone, Black Back Shad, Green Gizzard Shad, Matte Shad, Night Aurora, Okie Bone, Pure Chrome, and True Gill.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $18.99.

Lowrance Report

Lowrance announced the release of software update 25.2, which is packed with innovative trolling motor features, significant enhancements to ActiveTarget® 2, and expanded third-party integrations.
“This software release reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering smarter, more intuitive tools that help anglers fish more effectively and efficiently,” said Jeremiah Clark, VP & General Manager, Fishing Systems at Navico Group. “From our new advanced trolling motor controls to sharper sonar imaging and seamless third-party integration, every feature is purposefully designed to give anglers more confidence, control, and improve their time on the water.”
This latest update introduces a powerful suite of new features for trolling motors, designed to enhance precision and simplify navigation. One of the most notable features is Depth Routing, which allows users to automatically chart a course that keeps the boat within a specified depth range. By setting a minimum and maximum depth, as narrow as a three-foot range, on their HDS PRO® unit, anglers can let the new Ghost® X, Ghost® or RECON™ trolling motor handle the rest. This ensures the boat stays in the strike zone so anglers can stay focused on fishing.
