Gary Butcher and Scott Smith won the Arjay’s weeknighter at Clear Lake last week.
Butcher and Smith had a limit weighing 11.26 pounds. They also secured Tackle Shack LLC Big Bass Pot with a largemouth weighing 4.44 pounds.

Louie Stout and Chuck Powell - 1st Place
Chuck Powell and Louie Stout found the right size of school at Klinger Lake and it rewarded them with first place in the Michiana Fishing League (MFL) Open last weekend.
The winners had 11.32 pounds that included big bass of the event, a 2.95-pound largemouth. They caught most of their fish in 23 feet of water on grubs fished on 3/8-ounce jigheads and caught 7 keepers on consecutive casts. They culled a couple on C-Flash crankbaits on outer weed edges later in the day.

Kent Dowden - 1st Place
Not only did Kent Dowden sack up a big bag at Lake Templene, but he topped it with a 5.92-pound largemouth to win the Tackle Shack Open last weekend.
Templene’s bass were biting, as it took more than 10 pounds to finish in the top 10 on a lake that has been pretty stingy this season. All 25 teams caught five-fish limits.
Dowden got most of his 14.60-pound limit on a Mann’s Baby 1 Minus crankbait and a 10-inch worm with a ¼-ounce weight.
Randy Walls and Mark Flotow - 2nd Place
Randy Walls and Mark Flotow finished second with five weighing 14.54 pounds. They used Senkos and jigs in 2 feet of water or less.
SMAC Report
Jason Dittmar and Dave Eggers won the Southwest Michigan Anglers Club (SMAC) event on Magician Lake last week.
Dittmar and Eggers had five bass weighing 9.24 pounds and also had big bass with a 2.68-pound largemouth. They fished grubs and drop-shot rigs in 20 feet to catch the winning bag of fish. The big bass was caught on a tube jig.
Derek Kelly and Seth Spaulding were second with five weighing 8.32 pounds. They used drop-shot rigs in 30-35 feet of water to catch their fish.
Third went to Terry Smith and Scott Crocker with a 7.63-pound limit. They caught their fish on crankbaits in 8-10 feet.
There were14 teams participating and only 6 limits were weighed in. There were 36 fish brought to the scales weighing 56.61 pounds.

R&B Report
John Gipson and Kris Iodice - 1st Place
Kris Iodice and John Gipson won the R&B Circuit tournament on the St. Joseph River at Maggie’s landing recently.
Iodice and Gipson had 13.28 pounds that included big bass of the event, a 3.82-pound largemouth. They fished jigs and topwater along weed lines and laydowns.
Ron Fabizak and Kevin Fletcher were second with 8.82 pounds while Nate Bontrager and Jason Hellmuth third with 6 pounds.
